The Link Partnership

Since 1993, when Bishop Cyprian of the Busoga Diocese visited Ross-on-Wye, a strong partnership has developed between Ross and Namutumba, a market town of about 20,000 people in South Eastern Uganda. This partnership was officially recognized by the twinning of the two Town Councils in 2007. This website records and celebrates the past achievements of the link and will promote its future health and development.

The Aims of the Link

The main objectives of the Ross and Namutumba link is to: • Support joint projects in agriculture, health, sanitation, technology, sport and education • Encourage the building of friendships and cultural links • Develop the capacity for self-reliance of both communities alongside recognition of our inter-dependency.
